For me, good old fashioned books are still the best way to gain knowledge. Here’s a list of books that have helped me over the years get to grips with saving and investing.

Cash Saving Tip: Don’t think you have to buy any of these books. It’s always worth checking your local library first, just in case they have a copy.

Smarter Investing

Smarter Investing – Tim Hale

A fantastic book as it not only concentrates on UK investors but also on the virtues of passive investing. A must read for all that are contemplating investing but do not know where to start.

The Intelligent Investor

Intelligent Investor – Benjamin Graham

Considered one of the best books on investing according to one of the richest men on the planet, Mr Warren Buffett. This book will not tell you what to invest in, however it will provide you with an excellent framework and advice on how to approach investing.
